We provide summaries of taped and digitally recorded interviews for the Police Service and Local Authority Departments that conduct prosecutions within the Criminal Justice System.
The majority of our customers are Local Authority Fraud Departments investigating Housing and Council Tax Benefit Fraud.
The use of 'summaries' enhances the quality of a record of interview. They provide a balanced, accurate and reliable account of what has been said during the course of the interview.
The service is obtained by sending a working copy of the interview tape or audio CD by recorded delivery to PACE, along with a short pro-forma. The average turnaround time for a summary is 5 to 7 days.
The customer will receive the completed summary, statement of the summariser for continuity purposes, exhibit labels and endorsements for the Investigating Officers' statements.
We can also provide cover for any absence of the customer’s normal administrative support and we are often used to clear a backlog of tapes.
There is no requirement for customers to enter into a contract.
